Thu, 20 September 2007 Here is our sixth Mark's Mystery Podcast. This time we have a short piece on Galan, our merc from earlier in the stories, interviewing for a job. It gives you a bit of background on the fantasy world of Susan's.
I am going to take a break from these, a couple of months, and start a real Season One of the stories. I think I have learned enough to be able to sit back and decide what I want to do and how I can improve these stories. I have a small pile of half baked stories to work on. I also need to rerecord the first episode and clean up the sound. I also need to create scripts for these podcasts that are up here. (um, ooops, I suppose it should be a secret, but everytime I record these I make changes as I record the shows, so my notes are wrong.) Then I can do some kind of book for the Beta Season. I am seeing the concepts of entertainment and story telling combining old verbal traditions, old radio and todays entertainment. It is truly fascinating to watch it all happen. It really is an amazing time to be around this world. Now if I can just work out exactly how one makes a living at this. |
Sat, 11 August 2007 Mark's Mysteries Podcast 005. Not Her Man, Part 2 of 2.
The story comes from the mind of Mark Harmon and is based on the fantasy world created by Susan Van Camp. This podcast is © Mark Harmon 2007.
Susan has begun working on doing a comic of these podcasts. She will have her own perspective, so I don't expect those books to precisely match the stories. That will make it more entertaining I'm sure. And keep those comments coming! I do read my e-mails, even if I'm just a bit slow in responding. |
Mon, 2 July 2007 Thanks for tuning in to another Mark's Mysteries. This time we have a story Based on Susan Van Camps fantasy world that features Jason Adler, our Shaman Detective. The story is entitled Still Not Her Man, Part 1 of a 2 part story. This podcast is copyright Mark Harmon 2007.
Part 2 of this story is well underway and it will be here in one month. I am looking forward to hearing more from you folks out there, I am using your advice to improve these stories, so keep doing it!
If any of you are at the Origins 2007 convention this weekend, I'll be at the Black Dragon Booth. At the same time Susan Van Camp will be at the Anthrocon convention this weekend, as, you guessed it, Art by Susan Van Camp. If you are there, stop and let Sue know that you heard the podcasts! |
Tue, 5 June 2007 I have found myself with "stuff" happening. I just wanted to make sure that everyone knows that I am just taking a month off. I'll have the next mystery out in July, really! Keep the e-mails coming, I am reading them, and I even answer them! |
Sat, 5 May 2007 This is the third episode in the Mark's Mysteries podcasts. We call it "Not Her Man". The voices are by Mark Harmon as is the story. The music and sound effects are by Greg Tribble. The art comes from Susan Van Camp. This episode is a bit shorter than the first two, but that is one of the advantages of the podcast formats. I'm working on the fourth episode, but it may be tough getting it done on time. We have a long roadtrip in May. We will be in Detroit, MI (Detroit Comic Con). Columbus, OH (Marcon) and Dallas Texas on June 1st (Project A-Kon). I am listening to your e-mail comments and will be including improvements as we learn how to do these, and what you like! Hope you enjoy this one. I know I'm having fun working on these. |
Thu, 5 April 2007 This episode of Mark's Mysteries features Jason Adler in a story we call Moonie Morning. Mark's Mysteries are a fantasy/detective series based on the fantasy world of Susan Van Camp and sponsored by Art by Susan Van Camp.
Thanks for the e-mails on the first episode. I'm glad to hear from you. Thanks for listening.
It looks like for the time being I will be able to do these on a monthly basis. Enjoy. You can reach me at markharmon@mac.com |
Wed, 7 March 2007 My first Mark's Mystery podcast is Jason and the Bone. Shaman's, in Jason's world, can talk with dead spirits and gain a good deal of information about lives and history. Spirits can also be very dangerous, to say nothing of the brigands, mad spawn and magic users in the real world. |
